Well, if isnt time for an entry, I dont know when is.

I totally havent posted in ages, which is suprising, cos my life is totally different now. I am single, and live with a 17 year old flat mate who is some kind of rave celebrity (he gets given free E, so thats gotta count for something, right?).

Ive also been working as a help desk monkey for nearly a year now... thank god i wasnt laying cable. My job is cool, the people there think im hillarious (yeah, like, people actually laugh, although it seems to be becoming more of a humouring thing, but who cares). Im also making a reasonable amount of money, although obviously not enough (even though one could never reach enough, the ammount im earning barely enables me to live the lifestyle i want - going to the gym, eating good turkish food every day, and continuing sentaces inside of parentheses).

Anyway, I feel like ... im charged for the next part of my life, which is odd. Like, ready to get out there and live. Which is odder. I guess hanging out with a raver will do that to you.

Ill more than likely go downhill from here, but meh, Im living in Sydney, in a place called Strathfield (for all you's who reckon that sydo is just one big sprawl). Im also drinking a beer. And, for consistency, Ive been going through the series of Monkey ("In the worlds before monkey, primal chaos reigned..." - you know what Im talking about). So there.

The aspiration and lenition, and just grammatical insanity is mind warping. Verbs go at the start of the sentance : Tha mi gu math (I am good), literally comes out as Be i good.

Also, just started playing some d20 modern campaign, which is quite the fun, all the guys there arent afraid of sitting around and giggling at stupid nerd jokes, and my incesant habit of killing a joke (and dont worry, I only do it for session, so dont freak). Im not sure, but I think that all the role players Ive met are pretty cool, and I generally have a great time with them, and I cant see this D20 campaign being any less than that.

Her smile and polite mannerism rang as warmly as a tugboat sounding its fog horn during the hour of the devil. Nothing so hollow as the insincere sound of welcome and friendship from a mate that harks to the fog in the hour afore the sun pours on accross the sea, than the pitch of travel taken by such a tanker, and the sounds of each voice asame, yet with the landed one, a smile attempts to mask such a poison from the heart beneath. A practiced and tooty grin, showing the results of rust and corrosion due to the acid in the heart and soul, which although happens to each, one bears not the scars of friends nor fiends, but only struggles under load, while the other bears its own load - both that of a heavy heart, and that of heavy back-part.

Her arrival was announced with much please-ing and smiling, and the question was asked, and then answer was waited on. The femme in tow spent her time in idle consideration, her brain working slowing, and bathing in the rapture of choice and the want the signs spoke to her. She consults the young man standing bearded besides her, and queries him on which she would like; only to recieve the
aggravation of the savage, telling her to be hasty, and to choose what she would have, in the stead of deciding betwixt that which she would eat, and that which she would take no mind against.

--- More random writing and the like. Or is it that i dont like most people.. heh, depends on how depressed i am i spose. feeling rather sorry for myself, due to being uber sick and not having any possible relief for not being able to breathe.
Well, here i am, not sleeping due to incessant insomnia.

Im sposed to be getting up in 4 hours or less. This sucks. I want a monkey.

Well, back on topic, mokeys are cool. Ive never met one (it being imposible to be introduced to yourself), but i hear that they are hairy. Another thing monkeys are know for is their ability to teleport. It is widely documented fact that monkeys can appear from nowhere and steal your food. Unfortunately humans left that ability behind in our evolution, and got stuck with civilization instead. I just got left out of the loop entirely.

Im not entirely sure whether being on top of the food chain was such a bright move from humanity. I mean sure, we are only a few moves from mate on the rest of the animal kingdom, but to have left the teleporting behind is a sad, sad thing. Maybe if we could fly it wouldve made more sense, but there are just too many things to be said for scampering up and down the food chain by teleporting and stealing food. Wow, ive really burnt those creative juices up already. Seems like i should be wearing nappies. I mean, its the only logical route from this point on, and it also means i will get more exercise when i go to the toilet.

Ive recently been doing some research into the construction of gallows, and how to strenghten and reinforce them to the point where they could support more than a few humans from a single rope. Ive also been doing some research which is in tangent with this; im trying to discover whether it would be an entirely good thing to be hung like a donkey.

Ive just now completed bludgeoning the pain of Terrible Joke from my brain. And by completed i of course mean ive just given up in complete desperation due to the fact that the sledgehammer i was using reliably missed its target. Ive heard of Other Places where my gender supposedly house their brains, but alas, my sledgehammer proved reliable in that regard also.

Acursed insomnia (you'd be supprised how often i get that word into a coversation.. its pratically become one of my staple curses). Thats all I have to say about that. Ok, maybe just this little bit more. DOnt you hate it how things Drag out. Especially when they arent even very good.

Im mostly trying think of autoconfiguring things, but there isnt real reason why i cant just use the framebuffer for x. I think ill have to play with the install cd, get a striped down xorg server, and then run a tk script to install. (I love tk - 4 lines of code for a text and a button widget - go gui scripting - amsn.sourceforge.net for a cool msn client [the one i use on nix])

Ive done quite a few installs of gentoo now - and no, not on machine, i ssh over to ppls boxen in the us or where ever, and install for them. and really the user manual just needs to be implemented as a tk script. easy .... (i wish)

anyway, i really should get into doing some school work... due to the fact that i dont have much time to get it all done :(

Now, i know i was talking to him over msn, but i get the idea that it was face to face. I also havent slept for a *long* time. Methinks this may be influencing me... anywho, futurama watching time

Well, its been some time since ive given an update, due to a) complete and utter lack of inspiration to b) complete and utter lack of change in my life, and c) complete and utter aphasia as to the fact that live journal actually exists at all. I mean, i dont think i even thought of either word in the past month, let alone composit them :).

This morning, as reward for doing database work, i let myself setup a XMDCP server on my linux box ... and guess what? It works !!! :) Ive even got sound running over some bizzare and inexplicable esound deamon for windows which, according to the source i got it from, doesnt exist anymore ... and the author of esound has absolutely no idea that the port exists. Wow.

Oh, yeah, for those of you who maintain a somewhat more plump grip on reality ... and think, i know who will read this, and it aint saying much about me. Ok, XMDCP is the protocol that nix Windows (its called X for anyone that cares ... probably a random visitor to this site) uses to communicate to itself ... but its a protocol built on tcp/ip (the internet). thus, i can run my nix desktop on my computer in my room, and have it display fullscreen on this windows box thats sitting in the loungue room. And alt-tab into windows or nix at my disgression...its awesome. and like i said i have esound going accross the network. so im running all my shit on my puter, and my puter sends it to this box, which just recieves and displays it. this is soo cool.

MONKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Music : Fox - Millencollin

Hmm, i miss my dog. She was cool. Except the licking and incessant vomiting, she was cool. Well, she was really cute, and considered herself quite the lapdog - Which in itself might not seem like much, but when you consider she was an American Staffi, then you start to see the problem :)

We have a rental (checks spelling to make sure i didnt write rectal) inspection.
Stark. Cold one might even say, but that would be more the weather. The atmosphere contained an artifical heat, which seemed to be coming from some variety of heating globe. It seemed as though the entire world had gone strange these days, what with all the elephants with monkeys on their backs being sold on ebay to the american government, the golf courses being turned into lawnmowers, and heating globes heating.

The battlefield contained strewn wreckage, which occupied the greater portion of what once might have been described as floor. supporting the leviathan of the evil army was the usual household garbage, which, due to shear convieniance, had been placed every so casually on the floor, and by that i of course mean that it had simply been given to gravity to do with as she so pleases. gravity was, funnily enough, still functioning quite regularly; and, despite the variety of acrobatics that the monkeys appear to be performing on the backs of those elephants, please remember that this was only a demo.

hulking above the wards of gravity, was the white army. not always white, oh no, sometimes hidden in troop carriers decorated in wild floral patterns, with support troups (whose function, while as of yet unreckoned, is to be declared as espionge - why else would it be labelled as whisper, and why label such a thing so plaintively? reverse-reverse pschology is a dangerously friendly dangerous game - or is it????? [an evil game?^^]). the air troops are also assembled, mostly light wings, who are prepared to reinforce numbers of the clone troopers if neccesary.

Shreiking, a man runs from amidst this bedlam -scared because of the invasion that rolls inexorably forward, and bemused because it appears he is being invaded with a

to be continued..... i have seriously stuffed this up... i have no idea where its going anymore

Stupid tafe wanting 1000$ for a diploma in network engineering. wow! i can intercept packets, and run interfaces in promiscous mode. Prob wont even do that. just designing networks. I bet. It will su><or co="co"><or.

watched the first half of finding nemo this afternoon. it was cool. the main fish reminded me heaps of the dad out of "10 Simple Rules..."

my gf lois is staying at my house, and nicking my bed constantly, its kind of irritating, cos i aint getting much sleep at all. i got less than 3 hours over the course of this day, and a whole heap of caffiene, which gave me a stupid dislocated feeling. i had a nap, and then it was all good, due to the fact that i got like five minutes sleep, in which i took the edge of the caffiene/fatigue drug cocktail.

yeah yeah, i like monkeys in bananas

Well, this here be my first blog. To do something different, aside from expressing my hopes, fears, and general insecurities and teen angst, I will instead start by adding a few random words as they pop into my head.

TOILLET!

BANANA CHAIR!!!

CATS IN THE CRADLE!!!

SUICIDE!!!!

I HAVE A DONKEY!!!!

Now, for the serious teen angsting. Hmmm....

Nah, nothing at the moment.

Poem:
tis as though a bolt has entered my heart
a wounding blow to a colt delivered with a start
a great whistling in the air, to which i compare
a great succubus playing her part

Well, thats it so far.

Today i played with webmin, which is essentially a 'Control Panel' as it were for *nix. Its fully extensible, and as *nix does, it is network transparent. I set up everyone behind my firewall today also, and played Pirates of the carribean on xbox. It was cool. The controls are a littel annoying, because one's left hand has to move from the controller to the d-pad when you want to interact with something, which kinda destroys the flow for me... I might just be weird. Hmm... Still have to get that accursed X11 port forwarding via SSH onto beths compy so that she can access the power of *nix. I mean, its only fair if i use her NT stuff, right :)?

Did some minor research into German. Found some quote by Einsteinn which inspired me to look a whole heap o stuff up. Ahh well. Bye for now.
